ABOUT ARTIST
字平雲，1993年出生，新北市人，畢業於國立臺灣藝術大學書畫藝術學系書畫研究所，也於2019年在中國杭州中國美術學院當交換學生。現職繪畫教學、平面設計師等藝術相關工作，平時參與策展規劃與藝術創作。
2015年起至今參與國內外五十多次聯展，且辦過十多次個展，榮獲各大美展五十多個獎項，並曾於2018年加入上海參展與拍賣活動。近期獲得中部美展彩墨第一名、南瀛獎東媒材類第二名、及全國美展入選之殊榮，也積極參與各大藝術博覽會之展出(臺灣、中國、歐洲…等)。
在創作中廣取生活裡各種現象為題材，在與自我意識的對話中，揉合現代多元元素與過往經驗的成分，達到水墨、膠彩、水彩、各媒材創作的展現，且創作出七個獨特的系列作品，在大眾文化之中，擁有耳目一新卻不失其本真的價值。
Chou, Ming-Han, also known as Ping-Yun, was born in 1993, is native to New Taipei City of Taiwan. He graduated from the Graduate School of Painting and Calligraphy Arts of the National Taiwan University of Arts, and had been an exchange student at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou City of China in 2019. Currently, he teaches painting, works freelance as a graphic designer, and other art-related works. He generally focuses most on his artwork creation and involves in exhibition planning.
Since 2015, Chou has participated in more than 50 domestic or overseas joint exhibitions, held more than 10 personal exhibitions, and won more than 50 awards. In 2018, his artworks were ever exhibited and auctioned in Shanghai, China. Recently, he won first place in the Chinese color painting category of the ASOTC Award (Taiwan), second place in the eastern material category of the Nanying Award (China), and the honor of being nominated in the National Art Exhibition. In the near future, Chou’s artworks will continue to join some major art exhibitions in Taiwan, China, and Europe.
Chou takes a great variety of life phenomena to be his creation subjects. Through dialogue with self-consciousness, he integrates multiple modern elements with past experience to generate his 7 unique artwork creation series with materials ranging from ink, mineral gelatin pigments, watercolor, and other composites. In nowadays mass culture, Chou’s artworks are so refreshing that stand out the value of his truthfulness.
